During my trip to the handmade brigade craft fair this weekend I happened upon the 31 Bits booth.  Bold beaded necklaces and bracelets caught my eye which is strange because I am not a jewelry person, but I’m really glad I stopped.  Not only did I get one of the sweet little bracelets below (love the colors) but I learned about a great organization.  31 Bits is a fair trade organization that sells hand-crafted jewelry made by woman in Gulu, Uganda out of recycled paper, posters and magazines.  By selling their handmade goods and generating a dependable income these woman have the chance to provide for their families while bettering their situations.  A really great cause that I just had to share.  To learn more visit 31bits.com.
